Eden Chinn is an artist, curator, and educator whose work investigates femininity and self-construction through media. Using photography, installation, and bookmaking, she reflects on how media shapes identity and self-expression. Her academic research focuses on the evolution of feminist self-portraiture in response to technological advancements and advertising trends. Chinn is an adjunct faculty member at NYU Tisch IMA and former Research Residency at Tisch’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, where she led the Design Lab. She is a Teaching Artist at the New Museum, where she leads NewMu Teens, a stipend-supported youth program for NYC public school students, exploring the intersection of contemporary art and issues of identity. She is also a Teaching Artist at Lehman College Art Gallery, facilitating an LGBTQ+ teen arts program at a local Bronx high school. Chinn is also the Co-Founder of All Street Gallery, an artist-run space in the East Village and Chinatown.
